We might not have SEEN much Android at CTIA Wireless 2009 but finally we’re hearing plenty. After Samsung let loose that they’ll have an Android in June with several more to follow, a Huawei spokeswoman said, “I can confirm that Huawei will be releasing the third Google phone on T-Mobile this year.”
This report comes from MobileToday.co.uk and noting that little “UK” bit on the end, I would suspect the G3 (as they call it) would launch in T-Mobile’s worldwide markets first, later arriving in the United States. But lets hope I’m wrong. Lets also remember the quote is unsourced and the information about it being dubbed the G3 is far from concrete… although it sounds reasonable.

The release date isn’t until after July 2009 and considering T-Mobile will want the G2 on its network for awhile before they release the G3, this isn’t too surprising. And by the way, we kinda sorta already knew this.
