Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Overview
Announced next to its smaller 7-inch brother, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a follow-up to one of the company's most popular products. After the original Galaxy Tab 10.1's success, it only made sense that a scond iteration would be released, and this was the result.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 series failed to impress the audience at Mobile World Congress, though. The specs are close to identical to its predecessor. Except for aesthetics and the inclusion of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, among a few other small differences.
In a convention filled with quad-core processors and more competitive specs, the manufacturer's Galaxy Note 10.1 managed to get more attention. Mainly due to its S-Pen and multi-screen functionalities.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and Galaxy Player 4.2 available tomorrow The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and Galaxy Player 4.2 can be purchased tomorrow onwards through merchants such as Amazon and Best Buy. While the Tab doesn’t offer any significant improvement over the original 10.1 version, Samsung have brought down the price to $399 for the 16 GB Wifi model (the original started at $499). [...]
The bad news is that rumors of a quad-core upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 didn’t pan out. The good news is that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is now up for pre-order. Office Depot has the slate, which still features a dual-core processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, priced at [...]
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 might not be the only tablet in the company’s lineup to see processor change in the coming months. According to new information obtained by NetbookNews, production of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has been halted as manufacturing switches gears to include a quad-core CPU. The chip is being referenced [...]
Samsung Announces $250 Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Along With 10.1 Model and New Galaxy Player 4.2 This is movement I can definitely get behind. Solid, good quality Android tablets, reasonably priced for under $300. With Amazon’s Kindle Fire the only (pseudo) Android tablet to make a splash here in the states, there’s no arguing its success was due largely in part to its rock bottom $200 price tag. Now, we have [...]
The 10.1-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 has been priced at Office Depot’s website, but those hoping to pick one up will have to wait. The 8GB model is listed for $399, in line with the lower pricing we were expecting and offering a quality slate for a benjamin less than the $499 sweet spot. The [...]
The 10.1-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 has made a pitstop at the FCC as it rolls towards launch. The HSPA+ version, model number GT-P5100, has been given the approval of the federal commission, flashing its 850 and 1900MHz support along the way. Also put through the paces were the Tab 2′s 802.11n and Bluetooth 3.0 [...]
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Passes Through The FCC The WiFi-model of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (GT-P5110) has just been approved by the FCC, showing up on their website earlier today. The tablet, which is expected to go on sale later this month in the UK, will feature largely similar specs to the original Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, which the inclusion of [...]
Samsung announces Galaxy Tab 2 series, with last year’s specs The Mobile World Congress madness is taking off. While it is going to be the year of the quad-core processor, for Barcelona, there is also a plethora of dual-core goodness coming. An example is the Galaxy Tab 2 series, which have just been announced by Samsung. The only noticeable upgrade from last year’s Galaxy Tab [...]
