OUYA is an attempt to keep gaming relevant in the living room, as opposed to going completely mobile. This affordable console runs on Android and carries a Tegra 3 processor and 1 GB of RAM, so it is capable of running the best games out there.

One simply plugs it in to the TV and it is ready to rock. Even though it won't be reaching its launch until 2013, this bad boy has proven to be quite a popular console. It reached and quickly surpassed its $950,000 kickstarter goal on day 1, which is quite an outstanding accomplishment.

Razer quietly buys OUYA for an undisclosed sum

Razer and OUYA preferred not to comment on rumors that the former was buying the latter, but it’s happened. Mesa, a financial firm that acts as a middleman for these types of deals, has confirmed that a deal did go down for Razer to swallow up the maker of the Android game console.

Ouya updated with 16GB storage, revised controller

Ouya has gotten off to a slow start, but that doesn’t mean the company has given up (yet). No, instead they are introducing a version of the console with boosted internal storage, 16GB worth to be exact. Compare this to the original and its measly 8GB.
