Skype Works On All Verizon’s Android Phones

Last month we learned that Verizon Wireless was officially partnering with Skype to bring an unprecedented feature set to mobile phone users in America. Exactly what that would entail? We weren’t told – we were just told some sort of integration would make it all worthwhile and it wasn’t hard to guess the options. Now [...]

Motorola Devour Review

Until I held the Motorola Devour in my hands, I assumed it would be a lighter, more plasticky version of the Motorola Droid with weaker specs but a better keyboard. As you’ll learn in this review, my perception gradually quickly changed. It’s difficult to review the Devour on it’s own merits when it has the [...]

From The Motorola Devour To You

I’m writing this post from the Motorola Devour. To write a review of worthwhile substance you have to know the subject matter and in this instance I get a lot of hands on time with the keyboard.
I was expecting a lot out of this keyboard and at first was a bit disappointed but there is [...]

Unboxing: I Have The Motorola Devour

Ladies and gentlemen, I know have the Motorola Devour in my possession. It’s Verizon’s 3rd Android Phone and launches at BestBuy February 25th followed by VZW retail stores in March. Although its tech specs don’t quite match the Droid or Droid Eris in terms of pure horse power, I’m pretty excited about this phone if [...]

Hands On Video & Unboxing With The Moto Devour

Well there has been much talk and news in recent weeks leading up to the release of the new Motorola Devour in March. It will hit Verizon with pricing of $150 after a $100 mail-in rebate. As with all Verizon smartphones, you will need a  Nationwide Talk plan  with $30 unlimited data package. Head on [...]

Oversized Motorola Devour Display Arriving In Stores

Nothing screams device launch like oversized promotional displays and that’s exactly what we’re seeing from the Motorola Devour today. An anonymous tipster sent us the following picture of a larger-than-life Motorola Devour that would be more suitable for the giant in Jack And The Beanstalk:

In true Phandroid form, the picture above was snapped with an [...]

Moto VP Of Android Software Demoes Devour

Rick Osterloh is the VP of Android Software & MOTOBLUR Services at Motorola and a few days ago he took some time to discuss the device and give a tour of the specs and software. He also shows the Devour Wi-Fi connection while a computer is connected, browsing your phone’s contents using the MOTO Phone Portal. Motorola Devour Ad, Coming February 25th?

I was happy to see Megan Fox in a tub during the Motorola SuperBowl advertisement – trust me I was. But overall I was disappointed in the ad and I’ll tell you why after you watch:

Overall the ad was good. Hot celebrity. Funny approach/integration. But why would Motorola show a BRAND NEW PHONE and not [...]

Flash On Android: Devour Gets Lite Version, The Rest?

One thing you may have missed about the Motorola Devour is that the specs list Flash Lite support. The Motorola Droid doesn’t even have Flash support! If you’ll remember, back in November when we did our Motorola Droid Media/Web Review, we told you that while the Droid didn’t currently have flash, it would be coming [...]

Motorola Devour Sized Up Next To Nexus One, Hands-On Pictures

The Motorola Devour sitting next to the Nexus One… what a beautiful sight:

It looks physically bigger than the Nexus but the screen size is smaller. And if you peak at the keyboard, the whole package kind of makes me think that the Motorola Droid had sexy-time with the T-Mobile G1 and the Motorola Devour is [...]

Motorola Devour Box: Live Life For The Story

Devour is exactly what Android phone fans would do to this box if they had their hands on it right now. You’re looking at none other than the Motorola Devour Android Phone with MOTOBLUR. This HAS to be coming to Verizon stores in the very, very near future as this is probably something the stores [...]

Motorola Devour Features Palm Pixi’s Processor

Looks like the Motorola Droid Devour(Calgary, A555) that will be released on Verizon Wireless soon will be the first Android phone rocking the Qualcomm MSM7627 processor.

This is a new processor for Qualcomm and can also be found in the Palm Pixi and RIM BlackBerry Curve 8530. The processor is similar to the ARM 11 found [...]

New Moto Devour In Silver

Like we just discussed, the Motorola Devour, previously the Motorola Calgary, will be launching for Verizon. Our guess  is sometime in Q1 and with new and improved Android 2.1. BGR reports one of their contacts has spotted it in a new and snazzy silver.

What do you all think of the new looking Devour? Anyone getting [...]

Motorola Devour: DroidRedoes Calgary For Verizon With Android 2.1

We first heard about the Motorola Calgary WAY before any mention of the Sholes, Tao or Droid ever occurred. At one point it was the Calgary – NOT the Droid – that was destined to be the first Android Phone for Verizon. We’re not sure how or why that changed but it did, however it [...]

Motorola Devour: Does It Run Android?

Get used to it. A new handset is leaked/rumored. There isn’t a lot of information but its existence becomes known. The next logical question becomes – does it run Android? That’s what we’re asking ourselves about the Motorola Devour which recently passed through the Wi-Fi certification ranks.

Considering Motorola is making Android its focus, there is [...]
