LG Spectrum Overview

The LG Spectrum for Verizon Wireless is the sucessor to the LG Revolution. Surely, LG did not want to stay behind, so this device packs some great specs and features. The Spectrum sports a 4.5-inch HD IPS display, a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and 4G LTE connectivity.

Not to shabby, but being released next to devices like the Motorola DROID RAZR Maxx and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, it is a bit hard for LG to compete. If you are a fan of larger displays and LG's design, though, this may very well be the one for you.

LG Spectrum Reviews

The Verge
When I reviewed the Nitro, I called it the best LTE phone available on AT&T, and the Spectrum is every bit as good on paper: 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, a 4.5-inch IPS display, LTE connectivity, and an 8-megapixel camera.
CNET
Verizon's LG Spectrum superphone has all the high-end specs you'd want in today's top Android phones, including 4G LTE speeds and an emphasis on HD.
Engadget
Let's just get this out of the way, shall we? If the LG Spectrum looks familiar, you're not imagining things.
Android And Me
The LG Spectrum is Verizon’s version of the LG Optimus LTE, LG’s latest high-end smartphone that’s done particularly well in other parts of the world.
Android Community
LG’s Optimus LTE – which for the purposes of our American readers is known variously as the LG Nitro HD on AT&T and the Spectrum by LG on Verizon – is the company’s current flagship.
Talk Android
It’s LG’s follow up to the Revolution, which wasn’t one of the most popular phones on Verizon last year.
Pocket Now
After spending a couple of minutes with it at CES, a lot of expectations were set on the table with Verizon's new list of LTE devices, and the Spectrum topped the list because of the amount of quality specs involved.
Slash Gear
Welcome to Verizon’s most high-definition LTE device on the market right now, the Spectrum by LG, complete with a massive True HD IPS display at 4.5-inches and 720 x 1280 pixels.
Tech Crunch
The LG Spectrum has spent a long while with me. In fact, LG’s asking for it back, saying that my review period has come to an end.
PCMag
The LG Spectrum is a powerful, high-end Android phone that offers Verizon subscribers good value despite some troubling benchmark results.
Droid Life
If I told you up front, that would ruin the magical anticipation that is built when I attempt to leave you hanging with some fun line like, “We will find out after the break!” With that said, jump past the break to find out.
Tech Radar
It broadens Verizon's 4G LTE selection, but can it topple the competition?
Phone Arena
Just like its rivals before it, the LG Spectrum is stuffed with all of the lovable qualities of a contemporary high-end Android smartphone. However, will it have enough allure to rise over some of the benchmarking devices we’ve seen already?

LG Spectrum has an update incoming, plenty of tweaks but no Ice Cream Sandwich

An update is prepped and ready to roll out to the LG Spectrum, according to a changelog posted to Verizon’s site late last week. LG Spectrum update fixes Netflix playback
