Not too long after the launch of its first wave of HMD-branded smartphones, it looks like Finnish company HMD Global is set to continue in its move to slowly phase out the Nokia branding from its smart device lineup, at least according to new reports online.

According to Finnish website Suomimobiili, HMD Global will be rebranding the Nokia XR21 and T21 tablet under its recently-established HMD brand.

In particular, the Nokia XR21 will simply be renamed the “HMD XR21,” and comes with model number TA-1592 which is availale in black. The price is expected to be around 460 Euros for the 6GB + 128GB model. The same goes for the Nokia T21, which will be sold as the HMD T21 moving forward with largely the same price. As for availability, it’s predicted that HMD will announce the devices in the coming weeks, with shipping to commence either in May or June.

A while back, HMD Global made it clear that it was moving beyond the Nokia brand name for its smart devices, and it’s expected that the company will designate the Nokia naming scheme for use with low-end feature phones.
