OnePlus has announced that it will unveil the OnePlus 3 on June 15. The launch event will be hosted at the Shenzhen Universiade Center at 10am local time. Because of the time difference, those who plan on following the event live stream in the US will need to tune in at 10pm EDT on June 14. The company has also announced that the phone will go on sale June 16th in China with other markets to follow. While the phone is not expected to launch with the same invite system that OnePlus has used for its previous devices, it’s still not clear if the company is planning a wide global launch like other smartphone manufacturers.

While the phone is not expected to launch with the same invite system that OnePlus has used for its previous devices, it’s still not clear if the company is planning a wide global launch like other smartphone manufacturers.

Based on what we know, the OnePlus 3 is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB/6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 5.5-inch 1080p display, 3000mAh battery, 16MP main camera, 8MP front-facing camera, fingerprint sensor and a 7.3mm thick body. The OnePlus 3 is expected to retail for CNY 2199 ($333) in China, but that price will likely be a bit higher in the US and Europe.
