Fossil Q Founder

Late last month, Fossil finally made their first Android Wear-powered smartwatch official: the Fossil Q Founder. Officially available for purchase starting today, the Q Founder will set you back $295 and is the first Android Wear smartwatch to come with an Intel processor inside. We’re not sure exactly how that will translate to performance or battery life, but it’s an intriguing option.

The watch doesn’t look half bad either, featuring a more traditional circular design similar to the Motorola Moto 360. Unfortunately, Fossil seems to have picked up the same flat tire display design as well. By comparison, the Moto 360 2nd Gen (in equivalent 46mm case size) with metal bands will set you back a cool $400 (same with the Huawei Watch, but it’ll be on sale for $100 off this Black Friday) — so yeah, the Fossil offers a little more value for your money.

The real deciding factor is how well the watch will look on the wrist, something you wont know until you see one in-person. Good thing Fossil has more than a few retail stores you can visit to check out the watch for yourself. You can look for nearby ones using their store locator here. Oh, and don’t forget to check out their new Android Wear app now available on Google Play.
