  1. Very little love for Oregon makes me sad. I want 4g. The airport in Portland get it, but not the whole city. And how long before Salem, the capital, gets it :'(

Guess I make due with 3g or switch to sprint for 4g

  2. 39 cities instead of just 30, nice. Hopefully upload and download speeds will exceed what they’ve reported as well. But I won’t hold my breath.

  3. @JRDroid – no love for Michigan at all. :-(

  4. Being pushed to Sprint as if I had the leprosy.

  5. @John they actually confirmed Detroit, Michigan would be part of the launch, they just forgot to add it to the press release.

  6. Nice to see Portland is the only major metropolitan area on the west coast not to get 4G.

  7. KCI gets it but not KC…? Its amazing how we have 3 major sports teams but yet we continuously get overlooked.

  8. Sorry for ignorance. Will 4G “happen” on my Droid if I’m in one of these areas?

  9. @Pimp KC 3 Major sports teams? What math are you using? I barely consider the Royals ‘professional’.

    @Drake NO!

  10. I can’t believe rochester is getting 4G before buffalo. That’s such bull!

  11. thanks savagejeep!

  12. As a KC resident myself, I’m also wondering who our 3rd major sports team would be… I hope he doesn’t mean the (Hockey) Mavericks.

  13. Who cares if there is LTE this year if the device are not available until next year.

  14. No Love for Iowa either :(

  15. New Mexico is expected to receive 4G shortly after the release of 6G.

  16. Perhaps he is referring to the Kansas Jayhawks? (Rock Chalk!) I have a friend that works in corporate offices of Verizon and KC is scheduled for early 2011. With Sprint being headquartered there, they ran into some issues that have prevented them from getting LTE online by the end of 2010. Keep in mind that this list is those cities they plan on having fully deployed LTE available by the end of 2010. KC may have LTE in some areas before the end of 2010 but it will not be fully implemented.

  17. @Carl: Rochester has strong ties to Verizon, maybe that’s why they’re getting it before buffalo

  18. @John & @Rob On Twitter they mentioned there might be cross-border interference issues, but like Rob said, they expect to have coverage here in Detroit at launch.

  19. Boiler up West Lafayette!

  20. I think Pimp’s talking about the Wizards as KC’s “third” “pro” team. The MLS is technically a professional league just like KU is technically an institute of higher learning. MIZ…FKU!

  21. If there is discussion on what the manjor team is, it is obviously not a MAJOR sports team.

  22. @PimpStrong we do have 3 major sports teams, but most of the time our teams suck

  23. dallas ftw
