Samsung Galaxy A52 Receives New Security Patch

0

While the Galaxy A52 5G isn’t exactly a new handset, Samsung has remained consistent in providing updated software patches for its older A-series phone. As such, a new update has finally arrived for the Canadian variant of the phone, which features the latest September 2023 software patch.

The new update comes with software version number A526WVLSAEWH1, and is now available for several carriers in Canada consisting of Bell Mobile, SaskTel, Virgin Mobile, Tbaytel, Videotron, EastLink, Telus, Cahatr Mobile, Fido, Koodo, Globalive, as well as Rogers, to name a few. The new update brings some fixes for security and stability issues for the A52 5G, so don’t expect new major features for the device just yet.

Launched a couple of years back, the Samsung Galaxy A52 was one of Samsung’s many A-series handsets, which are meant to compete in the mid-range smartphone segment against phones like Google’s Pixel “A” smartphones. It features a quad-camera set-up, a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G 5G chipset.

To check if your device can download the newest update, simply head into Settings > Software Update > Download and Install to check if your device is eligible for the latest system update.
