There are a ton of critters in the vast world of Pokemon. As it stands, there are over 750 Pokemon in the world, however Pokemon GO only has a fraction of them as the game only launched with the original 151 from the Johto region.
If you’re wondering about which Pokemon are in Pokemon GO, look no further. Here we list all 151 of the Pokemon by their National Pokedex Number, including the rare legendaries that you can’t yet catch. Before we dive in, there are a few important things to note:
- Gender symbols next to a Pokemon name notes what that Pokemon will evolve into if it has different outcomes based on gender.
- Pokemon without an item in the “Evolves From” field can’t be obtained by any method other than catching them in the wild or obtaining them at special events.
- In Pokemon lore, some of the Pokemon in the list can be evolved from items, such as fossils. As Pokemon GO doesn’t currently have a Fossil system, we’ve decided not to list that attribute.
- Similarly, some Pokemon in the list have child forms that were introduced in later generations, but as Pokemon GO only includes Gen 1 Pokemon we’ve only listed that you can hatch them from an egg.
Knowing all of that, the list is straight ahead. Let’s dive in!
