Let’s pose a realistic situation really quick. You’re out with your friends at dinner and the bill comes. Everyone begins scrambling to figure out how much they are supposed to pay, but then your buddy pulls out his credit card and takes care of the whole bill.

Of course, you don’t want to just let your buddy foot the whole bill and want to pay your portion. Luckily, there are plenty of apps on the Play Store which allows you to pay your friend back and today, we’re taking a look at some of the best options.

Venmo

In our Top 100 Apps of 2018, Venmo took the top spot for the best app in order to quickly pay your friends back. Venmo offers the ability to pay your friends, as well as request some money if someone owes you for something. There is also a feed which shows off what your friends have been up to, which can be hilarious to see some of the unique descriptions for payments.

You can receive a “Cash Card”, and even set up direct deposit for those who want a central location for your money to funnel into before moving to other bank accounts.

In fact, Venmo is owned by PayPal, but the standalone application includes a way to use PayPal Credit. There are even offers that PayPal offers if you’re looking to buy various products.
