HTC has finally released its first Android Pie update. While HTC has typically been one of the fastest to release Android updates, the company is tracking significantly slower this time around.
HTC has confirmed that Android 8.0 Oreo is beginning to roll out to owners of the HTC U11 Life on T-Mobile after rolling out to unlocked devices a few weeks ago.
After the Android One version shipped with Oreo, the US unlocked version of the HTC U11 Life is now beginning to receive the update to the latest version of Android.
The U11 Plus is the big, flagship device, while the U11 Life is a more affordable mid-range device. The Life looks a lot like the other U11 models, but there are some key changes to get the price down to $349.
While some were suggesting that the HTC U11 Plus would be unveiled on November 2nd, it seems that won’t be the case. Instead, the HTC U11 Life will be the center of the show.
The HTC U11 Plus was just photographed gaining its Chinese certification along with a leaked render of the upcoming HTC U11 Life, a mid-range Android One phone.
The new mid-range Android One phones are great in their own right, but HTC just might be coming with the most exciting Android One phone yet: the HTC U11 Life.
