Get a New Launcher
If you don’t like the default launcher, it’s very easy to get a new home screen. Simply install a launcher from the Play Store. Nova Launcher is one of our favorites, but we’ve also got a list of the 10 Best Launchers you can check out.
After installing the launcher, press the home button and you’ll be asked to Select a Home app. Choose the new launcher and select Always if you want it to be the default home screen.
You can also use this method:
- Go to Settings > Apps & notifications
- Select Advanced > Default apps
- Tap Home app and choose your launcher
Change the Wallpaper

- Long press a blank area of the home screen
- Tap on Wallpapers
- Select from the list of wallpapers available on your device
- Once selected, preview the wallpaper and pinch-to-zoom
- Tap “Set Wallpaper” when you’re ready
- Choose between Home screen, Lock Screen or both
