Whether you’re a hipster or not, one thing can be said – trying new beers is fun. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a fan of craft beers or just tasting new beers in general, it’s always an adventure with a new beer in your glass.

Thankfully, there are a few apps on the Play Store which make it possible for you to keep track of all of the different beers you try. This has come in handy for me more than a few times, as I can try a new beer, log it, then pull the app back up if I want to go to the store for a six-pack.

Untappd

There’s a reason why Untappd made the list on our 2018 best apps of the year. This is THE app to use if you like keeping track of all of the different beers that you taste.

Plus, there are other features built-in which include social interaction, and the ability to quickly find a new bar. There are some other goodies that Untappd features, including the ability to get notified when your favorite beer comes to your local bar.

Barly

Barly is an app that seems to be a newcomer on the Play Store. The app also works a bit different than Untappd in the fact that you can find the best beer for your palate.

From there, you can view where the appropriate beers are on tap at different bars and restaurants around you. Then, you can log your beer and keep track of everything new that you take for a spin.

Beers

If you’re looking for a beer tracking application, what better name than Beers? The difference here is that Beers operate strictly offline. When logging a beer, you take a few pictures, fill in the specific information, and everything is saved.

Then, you can go back and view your different collection of beers that you’ve tasted. Although we would like to see some online integration, but Beers is still a great way to keep track of your beer collection.

Craft Beer Passport

One of the most intriguing options on this list comes via Craft Beer Passport. The app makes it easy to find new craft beer locations, while offering possible discounts.

Craft Beer Passport acts just like a passport, where you can collect stamps from various bars and breweries. Then, you can save up those stamps and get discounts on beers at your next trip, but the reviews state that your mileage may vary here.

Beer Tasting Journal

As is the case with Beers, Beer Tasting Journal is an extremely simple beer tracking app. The app allows you to use sliders in different areas to properly rate and review each beer you taste.

When completed, a chart will appear which shows just how well the beer stacks up. This is another basic beer tracking app, but Beer Tasting Journal offers a bit more flexibility in the review department.
