Here are some of the non-juicy bits from the newswire today. Just because they aren’t too interesting to us doesn’t mean you should miss it. In fact, that Infuse 4G with Gingerbread is sure to tick some AT&T users off. I’m sure AT&T will be delivering an update of their own sometime soon, though anything can happen with the forthcoming launch of the Samsung Galaxy S II. Oh, and a XOOM WiFi for $500 at Costco? That’s right in line competitors. Let’s see if it makes a difference in overall sales figures and let’s hope Motorola gets the message if it does. Anyway, I’m not supposed to be telling you all of this here: find out for yourself below!
- HTC Sensation will be offered by Three UK, presales are going on now, ships June 29th. [Unwired View]
- The same phone will land on Virgin Mobile in Canada as the HTC Sensation 4G.
- Tapjoy is investing $5 million dollars to help iOS developers port their games and apps over to Android. [VentureBeat]
- The Motorola XOOM WiFi is on sale for $499 at Costco. [DroidLife]
- The Samsung Infuse 4G is headed to Rogers with Gingerbread.
- The Samsung Replenish’s solar charging functionality apparently does not work the way it should.
- An LG C729 has hit the FCC. [Engadget]
The Replinish has to have the $30 special back for solar charging. It is an accessory that is not included, so it obviously doesn’t work out of the box. Silly people.
Supposedly the * and the .97 part of the price on the sign at Coscto means the Xoom as it is is being discontinued there. IMHO not because a “Xoom2” is coming yet but because they are draining their stock of Xooms that were first release in preparation for those that come with 4G already built in. Hopefully this ends up good news for us current Xoom owners.
Love that on the day of Samsung’s 10.1 release they drop the price. Nothing like a little competition to lower pricing.
