Bing bang boom. You know what time it is… Its time for another great episode of Android Overload! Today there was a lot of Samsung news oddly enough. Looks like they may be one step closer to Android world domination. Since we didn’t want nothing but Samsung news dominating our front page, we had to dump some of that stuff onto here. Hope you all have had a great day and even better night! Cheers!

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  1. Galaxy s2 get your plasticy self over to the US! While i’m angry at htc and ready to purchase you.

    1. make sure you get the one with NFC, I am holding off on SGS2 till it has NFC in the UK.

  2. Dear god Kevin you’re actually getting worse. The Red Desire S was mentioned in yesterday’s Android Overload.

    1. Looooooool. Kevin smokes too much

      1. Chris – this is the very first time I have seen anyone at Phandroid make a correction to an article. Thank you!

You have been a breath of fresh air compared to the others.

        1. yea, rob def. needs to pay chris more.

        2. @karnka I can assure you that is not true.

          1. Did you proof read and correct the glaring error in your Galaxy Tab review yet Quentyn?

Kevin’s articles in particular are riddled with errors, grammatical and factual. He has on several occasions reposted stories and yet I have never seen him correct a single of the mistakes he has made.

          2. I did correct that error, Karnka. As soon as I was alerted to it. I can’t speak on behalf of the other authors here, friend.

  3. tmobil might not get it, which really sucks!!

    1. Yeah, but they might get the “Hercules” which is the same thing but with a 4.5″ screen and can take advantage of their new 42MBps HSPA+

  4. when a third world country gets the samsung galaxy s 2 before the most powerful country in the world there is s a problem.

    1. Knowing that people in africa can buy the phone and I’m still waiting for it here in canada, it really sucks.  We’ve become a technological third-wolrd country.  Maybe they’re the one who should be sending donations to us now so we could afford to import those technological devices before they’re made available here.  The SGS1 needed a change in radio frequencies to work over here so it’s logical it took a while longer to arrive.  But since the SGS2 natively supports the radio bands of all canadian major carriers, as well as AT&T in the US, there’s no reason that it could not be here sooner.  (Except of course carrier wanting to install their bloatware on the phones before selling them to us.)

      1. i hpe your not saying that india is in africa

        1. Not at all, I’m referring to the article in the Botswana Gazette, on may 18th, stating that the Galaxy S II has launched in Africa.

    2. don’t worry…US will soon be a third world country. Then we will be first to have the latest and greatest of phones and gadgets from Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.

  5. 250$ !? In Europe is 350$ :(
