Samsung Announces a Nifty New Trade-in Program, but There’s a Catch

0

Samsung recently announced that it will be launching a new trade-in program for select Samsung Galaxy smartphones and devices via Samsung’s official website. One interesting thing to note though is that the trade-in program also works for customers who don’t want or need to purchase a new phone, at any time of the year.

The program is a result of a partnership between Samsung and Likewize, which manages and operates the trade-in program. If you were looking to trade in your Galaxy device however, you might be out of luck unless you live in either France or Korea, the only two countries where the service is currently available. Jun Kim, EVP and Head of Galaxy Value Innovation team, Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung comments:

We’re excited to launch our brand-new year-round Galaxy Trade-In Program in an effort to enrich the value of Galaxy devices for users and contribute to a circular economy. We believe customers can greatly benefit from the value of their devices in the market and the ability to trade-in safely with the support of secure transactions.

With all that being said, Samsung adds that it plans to expand the trade-in program to more countries throughout 2025.
