Samsung wants to Challenge Google with its AI Audio Removal Tool

0

Following the announcement of its upcoming One UI 7 Beta, it looks like Samsung is working on a new video editing tool which features similar functionality to what we’ve seen from Google, particularly its audio eraser feature.

According to a tip found on Chinese social media site Weibo, One UI 7.1 will come with an AI-powered audio eraser. It can probably be assumed that it will work similarly to what we’ve seen on Pixel smartphones so far, allowing users to pinpoint certain sounds in a video and tweak their volume, or even remove them altogether (check out the screenshot below).

This includes voices from people speaking on the video, as well as other ambient sounds such as wind and traffic noise, and more. There’s no word yet on when the feature will arrive however, but it’s expected to come next year once One UI 7.1 rolls around.
