Remember when you were a kid and your parents would tell you how many hours you could watch TV or play games every night? It looks like NVIDIA is doing that to its GeForce Now customers by announcing time limits on the service.
In a post on Reddit, NVIDIA has revealed that customers subscribed to GeForce Now will be limited to 100 hours of gaming per month. Gamers who do not use up the full 100 hours will be able to roll over up to 15 hours to the next month. These changes are expected to be introduced starting in 2025, so you’ve still got some time if you want to switch to a different service.
The good news is that this won’t affect customers who have Founders memberships. These users will still have unlimited playtime. Everyone else, however, will have the 100 hour monthly limit. The good news is that if you need extra time, you can pay an extra $2.99 for 15 hours of Performance time, or $5.99 for 15 extra hours for Ultimate hours.
This is kind of annoying since we imagine that most people don’t like to be told how many hours they can play their games. If you’re a casual gamer, you might not even hit the 100 hour limit, but we imagine there will be people who won’t be too thrilled by these changes.
