Samsung hints at plans for cheaper foldables

0

We are fascinated by foldable phones, but unfortunately the price associated with these devices can be quite prohibitive for many consumers. But if you are hoping to get a foldable phone that won’t break the bank, Samsung could be considering launching cheaper foldables in the future.

This is according to a post on X by Jukanlosreve which quotes a recent Samsung conference call. According to Samsung, the company is exploring the idea of creating cheaper foldable phones. “We are considering ways to lower entry barriers so that more customers can actually experience foldable products, given the high satisfaction among existing foldable users.”

We have heard the rumors that Samsung has been working on creating more affordable foldables. This includes using a different display technology that could help lower the overall costs. It is unclear when Samsung will launch these devices, but it could definitely help boost the overall foldables market if more affordable options are available for consumers to choose from.

Also, we’re not sure how much cheaper Samsung could make their foldables. Right now in terms of cheap foldables, companies like Motorola are filling that gap. The company’s Razr series of foldables are considerably cheaper compared to other devices like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series.
