One of the more interesting tech trends in recent years is the fusion of smart appliance functionality with aesthetics worthy of interior design magazine covers. It’s something that several major brands have adopted, and TCL has finally joined in. The company recently announced a new addition to its line of TVs with the new NXTFRAME TV series, describing it as its first “lifestyle television” model for US markets.
In addition to functioning as a smart TV, the NXTFRAME TV also functions as an art piece of sorts, allowing users to display customizable artwork (and AI art) whenever the TV is not in use. In terms of hardware, the NXTFRAME series features a slim design just at 1.1″ deep (1.2″ for 85″), with a built-in chassis that allows for simple installation without the need for an external box.
Other features include QLED Pro Quantum Dot Technology for better-looking colors, support for HDR ULTRA with Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG formats, as well as TCL’s AIPQ PRO Processor which handles color, contrast, clarity, and motion. Additionally, TCL and Bang & Olufsen have entered into a long-term licensing partnership to bring “Audio by Bang & Olufsen” to the NXTFRAME TV Pro.
As for availability, the 55-inch and 65-inch models (55A300W and 65A300W) are now available, priced at $1,499.99 and $1,999.99 MSRP respectively. Larger 75-inch (75A300W) and 85-inch (85A300W) versions will hit shelves in September, carrying price tags of $2,499.99 and $3,999.99 MSRP.
The company is also set to launch the NXTFRAME Pro series next month, featuring 55-, 65-, 75-, and 85-inch models (55A300WPRO, 65A300WPRO, 75A300WPRO, and 85A300WPRO) priced from $1,999.99 to $4,999.99 MSRP. TCL will also release a movable floor stand and matching table feet in September, priced at $699.99 and $149.99 MSRP respectively.
