Exynos and Qualcomm variants of the Samsung Galaxy S24 spotted on benchmarks

0

Come January 2024, Samsung is rumored to launch their brand new flagship phones, the Galaxy S24 series. Now thanks to a report from SamMobile, we might have an idea of how the phones could perform as both the base Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Ultra were spotted on Geekbench’s website.

It appears that based on this listing, the base Galaxy S24 model will be the Korean variant which runs on the Exynos 2400 and scored 2051 and 6204 for single and multi-core performance. The Ultra, on the other hand, managed to score 2214 and 6744 for single and multi-core performance. It should be noted that the rumors claim that the Ultra model is expected to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset globally.

Based on these numbers, it looks like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has outclassed the Exynos 2400 in terms of performance. We’re not sure what this difference might feel like in the real world and day-to-day usage, but on paper it doesn’t look good for Samsung. One thing to keep in mind is that the Ultra model on Geekbench had 12GB of RAM while the base Galaxy S24 had 8GB, so that could have an impact on the scores as well.

Either way, we’ll have to wait until next year to truly get an idea of what to expect from the Exynos and Qualcomm variants of the phone.
