Earlier this year, Motorola announced their brand new foldables – the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra (also known as the Razr+ in the US). The Razr+ was released for the US market, but for those who wanted a slightly more affordable alternative, you’ll be pleased to learn that the Razr (2023) has finally made its US debut as well.
For those who missed the initial announcement, one of the main differences visually between the Razr and Razr+ is its external display. The Razr+ had a much larger external display, but the Razr will be keeping to the older design by maintaining a smaller 1.5-inch display.
We’re not really complaining too much since it is still very functional, but if you see value in having a larger external display, then maybe the Razr+ could be a better option.
Under the hood, the Razr will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, making it less powerful than the Razr+’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. It will sport 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. On the camera front, the Razr will feature a 64MP main shooter and a 13MP ultrawide, with a 32MP selfie cam on the inside. The Razr will also be packing a 4,200mAh battery with 30W TurboPower support.
If you’re interested in picking up the Razr (2023), it will be available for pre-order on the 12th of October where it will be priced at $699.99, but if you buy it on the 19th of October, Motorola will be running a deal on the day itself where you can get a $100 discount on the phone.
Granted, the Razr’s specs aren’t as impressive as the Razr+, but at $699.99, it is honestly one of the cheapest foldables you can get right now.
