Google’s Pixel 8 phones are here and the rumors were right, the phones are more expensive than its predecessors. The good news is that if you’re looking to save yourself some money, Google’s got an upgrade plan for its Google Fi customers where you can save up to $400 off the new phones.
The best part is that there is no trade-in required, meaning that this discount will be applied instantly where customers can get $300 off the Pixel 8 or $400 off the Pixel 8 Pro, but obviously there are terms and conditions that apply. According to Google’s terms and conditions:
- Purchase the device or currently be in a group plan with the purchaser.
- Activate the phone on an existing full service plan (data-only SIMs do not qualify) within 30 days of the shipment confirmation.
- Remain active and in good standing on the qualifying device for 120 consecutive days. Pausing, changing, or suspending the account will void the promotion.
Assuming you qualify, the discount will be automatically applied upon checkout and you will be able to purchase a brand new Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro at almost a 50% discount, which is honestly a pretty good deal especially if you’re already a Google Fi customer and plan to keep using the service for the foreseeable future.
If you want to check if you qualify for this upgrade, you can launch the Google Fi app or go to the Google Fi website, sign into your current account and head on over to the store. Alternatively, Google could have already sent you an email so you can check your inbox for it as well.
