While smartwatches are definitely more functional in terms of what they can compared to fitness trackers, there are some who might prefer wearing a traditional watch. Or they don’t like the idea of having to charge a watch every night or every couple of weeks. Or some don’t need all the features that a smartwatch has to offer, so a fitness tracker is more practical for some.
If you are looking for a new fitness tracker, you might want to hold off on buying one just yet. This is because according to a short teaser video on X, Fitbit is teasing the launch of a new wearable on the 28th of September, 2023.
— fitbit (@fitbit) September 19, 2023
The video doesn’t really tell us what device they might be launching, but the person in the video appears to be wearing a wearable similar to that of the Fitbit Charge 5, indicating that the device the company could be launching could come in the form of the Fitbit Charge 6. Assuming that’s true, we should have more details as soon as next week.
Not much is known about the Charge 6 right now, but previous rumors have indicated that it will see the return of the physical side button which might be preferred by some users. Its design is also rumored to be similar to that of the Charge 5, so don’t expect anything too drastic.
