Back in the day, Motorola used to compete with other handset makers when it came to flagship phones, but these days, save for its Razr lineup, the company seems to be pretty content churning out entry-level and mid-range handsets. It’s not a bad thing since these phones usually command a higher profit margin, plus they are also incredible value for money.
That being said, if you are looking for a new mid-ranger, then Motorola’s next smartphone might be one you’ll want to keep an eye out for. This is according to a post on X by tipster Mukul Sharma who claims that Motorola’s next mid-ranger, the Moto G84 5G, is expected to see a global launch as soon as September, which is next month.
[Exclusive] #motorola will launch the #motog845G globally (first in India) this September.
The device will feature
– Pantone's colour of the year 2023 – Viva Magenta
– Premium vegan leather finish
– 120Hz 10-bit pOLED display
– 12GB RAM + 256GB storage
Will share more details… pic.twitter.com/8MKN0JheBU— Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) August 23, 2023
According to the post, some of the features of the phone we can expect include 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, a 120Hz pOLED display with 10-bit color, and it will also be offered in Viva Magenta, which is the 2023 Pantone color of the year. What’s interesting is that Motorola is giving the phone a vegan leather finish, a material that we haven’t really seen in many phones these days.
We’re not sure how much the handset could cost, but like we said, Motorola’s mid-rangers have been known to be good value for money and we expect that the Moto G84 5G should follow suit. If the September launch date is accurate, we should have the official details soon enough.
