It’s no surprise that WhatsApp has been one of the world’s go-to messaging apps for smart devices, and over time we’ve seen some newly-added features make their way to the platform. As such, it’s been reported that a small but significant improvement is coming for WhatsApp users soon.
While the ability to send photos via the app has always been available, users have complained that image quality wasn’t always the best. That may all change soon, as the company moves to roll out higher-resolution image sending in the coming days.
Users who update their WhatsApp to the latest release should see an “HD” button appear on the photo-sharing interface. Tapping on the button will then give the user the option to select photo quality. After sending a photo, recipients will be shown an HD label on the bottom-left corner. Users can expect the HD photo feature to roll out to more regions in the coming weeks.
WhatsApp also supports video messages, one of the newest features on the platform – read our quick step-by-step tutorial on how to send video messages to your WhatsApp contacts.
