As far as action cameras are concerned, DJI is definitely up there along with the biggest players in the game, and the company’s newest Osmo Action 4 is a great example of this. Packed with a ton of features for rugged outdoors filming, the DJI Osmo Action 4 comes at a considerable price, although the wealth of features onboard more than make up for it.
Built for the great outdoors, the Action 4 can be attached to a variety of mounts such as helmets, bike mounts, underwater cases, and more. The camera is designed to be waterproof up to 18M, and DJI says that the battery onboard can likewise withstand freezing temperatures thanks to an anti-freezing design. The battery also ensures that the Action 4 can be used for over two hours of video recording.
The camera features a 1/1.3″ sensor that comes with f/2.8 aperture, and a 2.4μm-equivalent pixel size enabling it to shoot videos at up to 4K/120fps, with a 155° ultra-wide FOV for better detail in darker environments. The Action 4 also comes with image and video stabilization, and even Wifi connectivity for content streaming and media transfers.
Other details include built-in mics with wind noise reduction, touch compatible displays for UI navigation and usage, and an advanced color temperature sensor for better color reproduction in shots and footage.
In terms of price, the Osmo Action 4 comes in different bundles, which includes a Standard Combo priced at $399 that gets you the camera and additional accessories and batteries, although there’s a more expensive version priced at $499 with more bundled accessories and batteries than the standard package.
