A while back, Motorola launched its Motorola X40 for Chinese markets, featuring an impressive set of hardware specifications. While the device itself has not been made available for other regions, there’s a lot of speculation that it might be rebranded as the Motorola Edge 40 Pro, after a Geekbench listing revealed the device’s existence online.
As for benchmark scores, the Edge 40 Pro scored 1480 in Geekbench’s single-core performance test, and 4889 for its multi-core score. It’s speculated that the device will come equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, although based on the Motorola X40, the Edge 40 pro might ship with Android 13, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of internal storage, a triple-camera set-up, and a 4600 mAh battery.
At the moment, there’s no official confirmation or statement from Motorola regarding the Edge 40 Pro, but it shouldn’t be too surprising once the company acknowledges the device through a formal launch. As such, Motorola fans will have to wait a bit more if they want to get their hands on the phone.
In other Motorola news, the company’s latest stylus-equipped phone – currently dubbed the Moto G Stylus 2023 – has shown up online via photo renders from @OnLeaks. Not much is known about the device though, although it’s expected that the phone will come with a 50MP main camera, and up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
