Xiaomi’s Redmi sub-brand has finally taken off the wraps on its latest device, a brand-new tablet called the Redmi Pad. The tablet comes with a line-up of mid-range hardware specs, making it an easily-accessible device in terms of price.
In terms of hardware, the Redmi pad comes in thre colors including Graphite Grey, Moonlight Silver, and Mint Green. The front of the tablet houses a 10.62 inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 2000 x 1200 resolution.
Inside, the tablet is powered by the budget MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, and storage options of 3GB RAM +64GB storage, 4GB RAM +128GB storage, and 6GRAM + 128GB storage, all with support for micro SD expansion. There’s a pair of 8-megapixel cameras on the front and back, and the whole set-up runs on a 8000 mAh battery.
Of course, the tablet will come with MIUI, although it will run on Android 12.
Unlike its smartphone division, Xiaomi and its sub-brands don’t manufacture an awful lot of tablets, and in addition to the Redmi Pad, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is the only other prominent device in the Chinese brand’s tablet line-up. With that said, the Xiaomi Pad does feature more high-end hardware specs, and costs a bit more than its budget sibling.
