One of the main features of being in Do Not Disturb mode is that you won’t get notifications, including calls, but what happens if you need to return calls afterwards? It turns out that WhatsApp is working on a new feature in which it will specifically inform users when they have missed a call while in DND mode.
While missed call notifications aren’t new to WhatsApp, the main difference is that it will only show users calls that they have missed while in DND mode, meaning that users will be able to better differentiate the calls that they missed previously to those that they missed while their phones were set to Do Not Disturb.
This will make it clearer and more obvious to users in case they have a lot of missed calls in general and need to figure out which were the ones that they missed while in DND mode. It might also come in handy for users who might have accidentally set their phones to DND and are wondering why they did not receive any calls while the feature was activated.
At the moment, the feature isn’t live yet as it is still being tested, according to WABetaInfo, but we expect that it probably won’t be too long until it does become available to the masses.
