With Google’s newest Pixel 6a now available for pre-order, a lot of Google fans and Android enthusiasts are no doubt looking forward to getting the phone and investing in its hardware and software capabilities. With that said you might have ordered one for yourself, and while it is a solid little device with sturdy build quality, you might still want to get some protection for your brand-new Pixel phone.
We’ve compiled a quick little list of cases that offer good protection at relatively low prices. For a bit of variety, we’ve added cases with different levels of protection and style – check them out below!
Spigen Tough Armor
First up on this list, we have the Spigen Tough Armor case for the Google Pixel 6a. The Tough Armor case consists of two layers, with an inner TPU layer that fits snug around your phone and an outer polycarbonate shell, which serves as a second line of defense against shocks, bumps, and drops. The outer shell also features a kickstand which is useful if you’d like to set up your phone on the table and watch movies and such. It’s a bit thick though, but it will protect your phone nicely.
Caseology Athlex Case
Up next, we have the Caseology Athlex case, which is one of the company’s newest cases. It’s got an outer layer with a rough matte texture, and helps a lot with grip. There’s also an inner layer with a contrasting color accent, which takes some style elements from the Caseology Nano Pop case series. It fits tight around your pixel 6a, so there are no loose edges around the case, and the TPU material is perfect for reducing impact in case your phone takes a hit.
Poetic Revolution Series
Next on this list is Poetic’s Revolution Series case, which offers a more heavy-duty design. In terms of protection, It comes with a two layer build, with a frame that wraps around the front of your Pixel 6a, and a second outer layer made out of polycarbonate and TPU. The outer layer is thick to protect your phone from damage, and also comes with a kickstand for watching media and video calls. There’s also a cover to keep dust and debris out of your charging port, which should come in handy.
Otterbox Commuter Series
Otterbox’s Commuter Series case features some serious drop protection, thanks to the materials built into the case. It combines a bit of TPU, silicone, as well as hard plastic so your Pixel 6a is nicely shielded from accidental damage. It is a bit on the heavy side though, but given the level of protection that it adds to your device, it should be a great choice for folks not too concerned with a slim look, but rather reliable protection for their phone.
Caseology Nano Pop Case
Last but not the least, we have the Caseology Nano Pop case. One of the slimmer cases on this list, it has a smooth finish which is nice to the touch and features a two-tone color style. It grips nice and tight around the phone, so the case has all the proper cut-outs for the camera, charging port, and microphones. It’s also lightweight, so there’s not much bulk added to your device.
