This is another option from August and one of the main differences is that the Pro version comes with longer battery life than the WiFi model. If you’re concerned about having to swap out batteries, then the Pro model could be a better option. Schlage Encode
In case the quick and easy access of August’s smart locks feel a bit too simple for your tastes and you want perhaps a slightly more comprehensive security option, then Schlage’s Encode could be an option worth visiting. It installs over your deadbolt system and comes with a touch-capacitive numpad where you have to enter a code for it to unlock. Users can also generate codes that they can give to relatives/friends or Airbnb guests.

If you’re invested in the Google Home ecosystem and want a smart lock that plays nicely with Google Home and Google Assistant, then the Nest X Yale lock could be for you. This is a collab between Google and Yale and it features a minimalist design with a touchpad design that you have to enter a code to unlock the door. This is also a key-free design that will make it more secure against more traditional lockpicking methods.

Yale Assure Lever
