The long-rumored OnePlus 3T could be the first Android phone to feature 8GB of RAM. That doubles what Google put into its Pixel phones and rivals on what most people expect to find in their laptops rather than their smartphones. The OnePlus 3 arrived earlier this year and featured 6GB of RAM, which was considered more than enough.
OnePlus has tweeted that the company will be unveiling its new device on November 15th, featuring the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 2.35GHz processor that is found in the Google Pixel. Rumors also suggest that the OnePlus 3T will arrive with Daydream support and it will feature an AMOLED screen instead of LCD despite the rumor of a switch because of supply shortage.
Aside from the bumped RAM, rumors suggest that OnePlus could be bumping up the battery to a 3,500mAh or 4,000mAh battery. Very little is known about the camera that OnePlus plans to debut in their upgraded model of their flagship phone, but at the very least you should expect a Sony IMX 298 sensor.
We’ll know more about the phone next week when OnePlus finally shows it off.
