After discounting the Nexus Player last week by a mere $20 (that’s actually not a bad percentage), the Nexus 6 is now following suit. Google is firing up another sale by dropping the price of the Nexus 6 by $150 on the Google Store where it now sits at $500 for the 32GB version, or $550 for the 64GB.
What’s more, Google is also offering a special promotion for the Nexus 9 where you can get $50 in Google Play credit. It’s not a discount on the tablet, all that free software is definitely a nice bonus. The Nexus 9 promo ends June 23rd and although there’s no “limited time” tag on the Nexus 6, but it seems to be part of a Father’s Day promo, so hop on it.
Are you kidding me ;x i just purchased mine on saturday at full price for Project Fi. Noo
Some credit cards offer price protection. You can use that avenue to recoup the $
Google Play should be able to refund you the different if it’s within their return period. Call up their customer service.
good call @Gamercore:disqus. their return policy is 15 days. i just missed it by 6 days!!!
Check your email. I got an email from project fi that said I got a 150 dollar credit towards the n6 I just bought for project fi
Edit: I didn’t have to request or call, it just was there.
Posted the email in the Project Fi Forum: http://androidforums.com/threads/project-fi-rebates-the-discount-for-nexus-6.921362/
All great and all but a new nexus is on the horizon…
Bring back the Nexus 5.
I think they should. At this point there should be two different sizes for your flagships.
There’s too much desire for larger screen phones, but also an equal amount for those that want a bit smaller.
Yup I have no interest in a 5.5″+. The 5″ Nexus was perfect. The Galaxy S6 is as big as I have any interest in going and even that is a bit too big since I’m on the subway a lot and like to only use one hand on the phone. I don’t watch movies or play games on a phone.
Google needs to refresh the Nexus 5.
bought the N5 the minute it was released… it’s starting to show it’s
age, but still one of the best phones i’ve ever used. i’d like to see a
refresh.
As soon as they announced the Nexus 6 pricing, I bought… a Nexus 5 and have been very happy!
But I’ve kept it in very good condition and I’m thinking about selling it on Ebay and picking up a 64gb Nexus 6 at the new price, because I want the new features (compatibility with Google’s Project Fi cell phone service, better Bluetooth BLE capabilities, gorgeous screen).
Good deal :)
Meh….I know a decent phone…..but the cheap flash storage they use kills it for me….read/write times are terrible.
Ugh!! I didn’t read “off” at first. >.>
But there’s too much talk of new devices coming out. I’m ready to migrate pass these 5 inch phones. I played with a Note 3 today at work while setting it up. I started liking the screen size. I think I can get used to it.
The user who’s phone I was setting up liked it as well. He never used a phone that size, but just those few moments, he said he may get used to it. I wanna try a larger screen phone.
HTC better supply by March 2016. LoL!!
Dude… I gave up on HTC, I’ve wanted a proper phablet from them since I had my M7, the Max seemed promising but it only reached Sprint/VZW… and no successor ever came the year after. I went with the N6 this year and couldnt be happier. The screen size makes all the difference. And I don’t miss BlinkFeed as much having Google Now as a replacement as the left most screen. Material Designs “prettyness” also helps me feel like I’m not using the same old boring Stock Android.
