It’s only been a few days since HTC announced that the carrier release for Android 5.0 Lollipop had been delayed for both the HTC One M8 and original HTC One (M7). While it was easy to assume that a rollout was quite a ways off, it appears the software update is, in fact, trickling out to users.
HTC Product Manager Mo Versi announced via Twitter that, believe it or not, HTC One (M7) owners will be receiving Android 5.0.1 Lollipop as early as tomorrow, providing their home is with Sprint. Not bad, HTC… Not bad at all. As far as the One M8 and M7 on other carriers are concerned, we’re hoping this is hint of a speedy rollout across the board.
google’s cooking 5.1 so???

I’m sure they will have a 90-day plan for this too
best phone ever made
Came here to say this. I’ve owned many, many phones. Android, WinMo, Apple. The HTC One M7 is still, by far, the best damn phone I’ve ever had.
Oo ye, 3 days late isn’t so bad.
not so bad….but are they going to give the same time line to fix the bugs that you will be getting with it?? trust me, they are no fun! I’m really looking forward to this 5.1 update so I can love my Nexus instead of just being OK with it.
Yeah unfortunately.. Hopefully it wasn’t much of an upgrade from 5.0.1, since Google is being all quiet about it… But by the time HTC does release the update, I’m sure I’ll be having the M9 by then. :P
I’ll still be waiting in August for my m7att.
I know right smh
I’m just waiting for the M9
Is this the last update for the m7?
I’m downloading it right now. Wooo!
