What could be a hint of things to come, a 4G LTE equipped model of the Motorola Moto G (2nd Gen) is now being listed on Motorola’s site in Brazil.
The original Moto G 2014 — which was released earlier this year in both US and international friendly models — capped out at 3G connectivity, a pretty major downside for anyone looking to buy the extremely affordable (and capable) Android handset. But that’s only the half of it. Motorola is also showing their LTE equipped Moto G (2nd Gen) as coming with a much beefier 2,390mAh battery, a substantial upgrade from the 3G model’s 2,070mAh.
The odd part is Motorola hasn’t said anything about the phone launching in Brazil, or any other markets for that matter, with no way to even buy the phone on their site (yet). Here’s to hoping we’ll see a US and international version soon. Suddenly, that $150 Moto G 2014 from the other day is starting to make a lot more sense now.

I can’t believe this has better life than the Moto X 2nd Gen which only has 2300 mah. My dad might want this phone.
As someone using flashed moto G’s for a year along with my wife and four other budget-conscious friends, I would buy this phone. I flash 1stGen G’s myself, but it is a hassle. My CDMA MVNO just began offering 4g, but new, quality economy phones are hard to come by. My MVNO nor the mother-company offered the 1stGen LTE and I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t offer this either. I love Moto phones for their reception and simple build. I was just faced with having to replace a broken G and my only new option for Moto was a no-contract 2ndGen Moto X at $525. I passed on that price, bought a 1stGen $90 Boost Moto G, spent 2 hours flashing and updating. I would rather have a mid-priced phone that I didn’t have to tweak.
