SwitchBot Hub 3 now works with Apple Home and adds Smart Schedule automation

0

SwitchBot just rolled out two big upgrades for its flagship smart hub. First, the SwitchBot Hub 3 now officially “Works with Apple Home,” making it the company’s first gateway device to earn Apple’s seal of approval. While Matter support already made the hub compatible with Apple devices, this badge adds that extra peace of mind for HomeKit users.

Second, SwitchBot has launched Smart Schedule, a new feature that lets users automate their devices with daily routines. You can now schedule lights to turn off at midnight, set your AC to kick in before you get home, or automate curtains based on the time of day, all directly from the SwitchBot app.

Combined with the Hub 3’s existing Matter compatibility, infrared control, and support for over 30 devices, Smart Schedule takes home automation one step further. The update aims to reduce manual control, improve energy efficiency, and make everyday routines feel effortless.

The Hub 3 itself is one of the most capable Matter hubs on the market. It bridges SwitchBot’s entire ecosystem, including popular gadgets like smart curtain rods, robot vacuums, and locks, to other smart platforms like Alexa, Google Assistant, and now Apple Home. It also includes built-in sensors for temperature, humidity, motion, and even CO2, making it useful for real-time home monitoring and automated scene control.

Priced at $119.99, the SwitchBot Hub 3 is available globally and continues to be one of the most versatile and forward-thinking hubs in the smart home space. With these latest updates, it has just become a much more compelling option for both new and existing Apple Home users.
