REDMAGIC Astra Gaming Tablet goes global with OLED display, 165Hz refresh rate

0

REDMAGIC has officially launched its Astra Gaming Tablet worldwide, following last month’s debut in China under the name Gaming Tablet 3 Pro. Now the tablet has been rebranded for global markets.

At its core is the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The 9.06-inch OLED display runs at 2.4K resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,600 nits. It’s built for gaming but also works well for streaming, editing, and everyday productivity.

It also features REDMAGIC’s ICE-X cooling system with liquid metal and dual vapor chambers. There is a 20,000 RPM turbofan to keep performance stable under heavy load. Battery life is handled by an 8,200mAh cell that charges fully in just over an hour.

The tablet also supports DisplayPort output, high-speed USB 3.2 Gen 2 file transfers, and REDMAGIC’s new accessories like the Gamingpad and Astra Stylus. AI features powered by Google Gemini and an Android 15 base round out the software experience.

Pricing starts at $499 for the 12GB + 256GB model and goes up to $899 for the 24GB + 1TB variant. Early bird sales kick off July 15, with open sales beginning July 16 on REDMAGIC’s official website across North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and more.

This global release marks REDMAGIC’s biggest tablet push yet, bringing flagship-tier gaming features to a wider audience.
