Gmail’s new “Manage Subscriptions” tool is now live on web

Gmail’s subscription management just got a desktop upgrade. According to a report from Mishaal Rahman over at Android Authority, Google is now rolling out the same inbox-cleaning hub it introduced on mobile earlier this year to Gmail on the web. You no longer need to dig through your inbox or open random emails just to unsubscribe.

Instead of sitting below the Trash folder like it does on mobile, the Manage Subscriptions button on the web is found under the “More” section in the sidebar. It’s placed between “Spam” and “Manage labels.” Once you click it, you’ll see a clean list of all your mailing list subscriptions, with recent activity and an easy Unsubscribe button beside each one.

You can also click on any sender to view the full thread before deciding to opt out. Keep in mind that unsubscribing isn’t always instant. Some emails might still come through for a few days, so if you want to cut them off immediately, blocking the sender is your best bet.

It’s a nice quality of life update, especially if you spend a lot of time managing emails from your phone. Google is rolling this out gradually. If the Gmail manage subscriptions hub hasn’t shown up for you yet, it should land in your account soon.
