Galaxy Z Fold 7 pricing could stay the same, for now

0

Samsung’s next-gen foldables have been leaking left and right, but one detail might actually make buyers happy for once: Galaxy Z Fold 7 pricing could stick to last year’s levels.

A recent post on X by Panda Flash Pro (spotted by 9to5Google) claims the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will launch at $1,099, while the Z Fold 7 will start at $1,899 in most markets. If true, Samsung would be holding the line on pricing—just like it did with the Galaxy S25 series—even as production costs rise.

But there’s a catch, and it’s a big one. President Trump’s proposed 25% tariff on phones built outside the US could force Samsung to raise prices by as much as 30-40% for American buyers. If the tariff goes into effect, the Z Fold 7 could cost around $2,500 in the US, making it a much harder sell. The situation is still in flux, though, with recent court rulings blocking some of these tariffs, at least for now.

Samsung hasn’t said how it’ll handle the possible extra costs. The company could eat the added expense, but more likely, Galaxy Z Fold 7 pricing in the US will go up.

We’ve seen this play out before—just look at the quiet price hike of the OnePlus Watch 3 in the US, with no warning. The bottom line is that if you want the next Samsung foldable at its original price, you might want to buy it fast just in case.
