This alone would make it a lot more usable for quick replies and checking notifications.

Before you get too excited, know that this is just a patent. Companies love filing patents for everything, even if most of it never gets released. The Find N5 Flip leak shows Oppo is at least thinking about another flip phone. However, it’s nowhere near official yet.
