The Galaxy S25 Edge will Come with a New Gorilla Glass Variant

It’s probably safe to say that there have been some pretty impressive advancements when it comes to display tech on smartphones in the past few years—there’s Corning’s Gorilla Armor 2 on the S25 Ultra, brighter displays on countless other smartphones, and so on.

With that being said, Samsung recently announced that it’s been working with Corning to develop a new Gorilla Glass variant which will come built into the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge—known as “Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2“, the new display combines glass and ceramic materials for added durability, as well as Samsung’s “proprietary processing and reinforcement technologies.”

Of course, we’ll know the full-extent of this new display once the S25 Edge makes its way out in the real world. The phone is scheduled to launch on May 13, and you can also  reserve the phone to score up to $50 Samsung credit toward the next Galaxy device on Samsung.com and through the Shop Samsung app.
