Samsung Quietly Walks Back One UI 7 Release Date After Initial Announcement

The One UI 7 release date may not be as locked in as Samsung originally suggested. Just days after announcing an exact schedule for its latest software update, Samsung appears to be backpedaling, according to a report from SamMobile.

On March 18, the company confidently stated that One UI 7 would roll out on April 7, 10, and 14—depending on the region. This announcement went live across more than a dozen Samsung Newsroom portals. But now, something strange is happening.

Samsung has quietly pulled the original One UI 7 post from its USA Newsroom site. A banner still exists on the homepage, but clicking it now redirects users to the general Newsroom page, not the original announcement. The post is gone.

At the same time, Samsung posted a new One UI 7 article on its Australia Newsroom. This time, the tone is much softer. Instead of firm dates, the article says the rollout “will start from April.” It also adds the usual disclaimer: “Availability may vary by market.”

This sudden shift raises questions. Was the April 7 date ever solid to begin with? Was it a mistake? Or is Samsung playing it safe after internal delays?

Samsung has never been known for sharing exact firmware release dates, likely to avoid disappointing users when plans shift. That made the March 18 announcement surprising. And now, with one post deleted and another rewritten, the situation feels more uncertain.

Right now, the only consistent message is that One UI 7 should arrive sometime in April. Whether that means April 7 is still in play—or already off the table—we’ll have to wait and see.

For now, the One UI 7 release date is tentative. We’ll update you as soon as more information becomes available.
