Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip FE Reportedly Launching Months After Flip 7

Samsung is expected to introduce two new flip-style foldables this year, but the Galaxy Z Flip FE launch may not happen alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7. According to a report from The Bell, Samsung’s more affordable foldable could arrive months after its flagship counterpart.

Galaxy S25 Ultra deal

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is likely to debut around July 2025, in line with Samsung’s usual release schedule. Leaks suggest that it will feature a full-size cover display, similar to the Motorola Razr+. However, the Galaxy Z Flip FE launch appears to be facing delays due to ongoing development challenges with the Exynos 2500 chipset, which was initially rumored to power the Flip 7. With uncertainty surrounding that chip’s availability, Samsung seems to be shifting its focus to integrating it into the Flip FE instead.

This delay gives Samsung’s Exynos division additional time to refine the 2500 chip, while also working on the next-generation Exynos 2600 for the Galaxy S26 series, expected in 2026. Meanwhile, the latest report suggests that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 might not rely exclusively on Exynos chips, a departure from earlier speculation.

With Samsung expanding its foldable lineup, the Galaxy Z Flip FE launch could mark the brand’s first attempt at a more budget-friendly foldable phone. However, with no firm release date yet, it remains to be seen how Samsung will position this new device in its portfolio.
