Tim Cook teases upcoming Apple announcement this week

0

In a post on X, Apple CEO Tim Cook has teased an announcement that the company is making this week. According to the teaser video, it reads, “There’s something in the Air.” While we cannot be 100% certain what this teaser is for, there’s a good chance that it is going to be Apple’s new MacBook Air.

Galaxy S25 Ultra deal

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently shared in his Power On newsletter that Apple is getting ready to refresh its 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models. These new models are expected to get the M4 treatment, an upgrade over the M3 models. Gurman did not provide a specific timeline, except to say that it will probably arrive this month.

That being said, Apple sure knows how to tease us. This is because according to the rumors, Apple is working on a new iPhone model called the iPhone 17 Air. This will be a slimmer variant of the iPhone 17 series and will replace the Plus model. However, it is almost a guarantee that this announcement will not be for the iPhone 17 Air.

That model is slated for later this year where it will launch alongside the other iPhone 17 phones. Either way, if you’re thinking of getting a new MacBook Air, it might be a good idea to hold off for now and wait for Apple’s announcement this week to see if it is worth spending the money on the M4 variant, or get the M3 version which will probably see a slight reduction in price.
