These are the cameras Samsung’s tri-fold phone could use

Samsung is rumored to launch its tri-fold smartphone later this year. If you’re wondering about the handset’s specs, a post on X by @PandaFlashPro has revealed the potential cameras for the upcoming phone.

Galaxy S25 Ultra deal

According to the post, the tri-fold device will utilize a triple camera setup on the back. This consists of a 200MP main shooter, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP telephoto. The phone will also feature a 10MP front-facing shooter on the outside, and on the inner display, the camera is rumored to be a paltry 4MP.

Keep in mind that these specs are allegedly based on the internal prototype. This means that the final unit Samsung releases could be different. However, assuming that these specs are accurate, it’s a little disappointing. However, we can’t completely fault Samsung. Foldables are designed to be thin; otherwise, they would end up being a brick of a phone. As a result, companies usually need to make some compromises in some areas to fit everything in.

In Samsung’s case, the company has compromised on its cameras. We’ve seen it in past foldable phones and how they don’t quite stack up against its main Galaxy S-series of flagship phones. Hopefully, Samsung has some killer software to make up for it. Until then, take this with a grain of salt for now.
