Google Brings a Modified Version of Circle to Search for iOS Devices

0

The arrival of Google’s “Circle to Search” feature for Android devices was a much-welcome means of streamlining image searches for quick and easy access, although the function was notably – and unsurprisingly – absent for iOS devices. That all changes today, thanks to a neat little trick that Google has brought over for iPhones.

The feature works within the Chrome browser and Google app for iOS. Users can tap on a three-dot menu that will then present an option to search the screen using Google lens. Afterwards, they can then draw a circle (or even tap) on a specific image that’s currently displayed within the Google app or Chrome app, which will then prompt an image search for said image.

Of course there is a difference with how the feature works on Android, which allows users to search for any image or text on their screen regardless of whatever app they’re using at the moment. Google says that the feature will begin rolling out this week for English-language users in countries where AI Overviews are available.
