WhatsApp Might Add a Rather Interesting Feature for One-on-One Conversations

0

One of the best things about using apps in their beta form means that you sometimes get access to upcoming (albeit experimental) features before they’re released for the greater public. With that in mind, it looks like WhatsApp is working on adding a feature that’s not commonly seen on chat and messenger apps.

More specifically, WhatsApp beta users now have access to an events management feature, which will be available for one-on-one chats. Previously available for group chats with multiple people, the feature will let WhatsApp users set event reminders, organize meetings, and other calendar-like notifications within the app itself.

The feature was spotted with WhatsApp beta version 2.25.3.6, although at the moment there’s no word yet on when it will officially arrive for all users on the platform. If you’re on the beta version on WhatsApp and would like to try out the feature, make sure that you’ve updated your beta app with the latest version on the Google Play Store.
